Here’s a small collection of free diagnostic tools we use often on behalf of our clients. Hotjar is free for their “Basic” plan but you’ll need a paid account to utilize all the features.

From Google, the same tool Google uses to pull pagespeed (it's one factor in the organic search ranking algorithm) offered to you, for free. Helps identify speed issues with your site & how to fix them.

Why No Padlock is a great tool which helps you identify problems with your site's SSL Certificate implementation and how to fix.

From Google, checks any URL for structured data (schema.org, microdata). A good way to check to make sure your structured data tags are setup correctly.

How fast does your website load? See how your site performs, reveal why it's slow and discover optimization opportunities.

MxToolbox provides free, fast and accurate network diagnostic and lookup tools.

Google Trends provides access to a largely unfiltered sample of actual search requests made to Google. Great tool for keyword research to see relative popularity of 2 or more search terms.

WhoIs Domain lookup tool from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a non-profit.

whatsmydns.net lets you instantly perform a DNS lookup to check a domain names current IP address and DNS record information against multiple name servers located in different parts of the world. This allows you to check the current state of DNS propagation after having made changes to your domains records.

Hotjar is a UX/UI tool which enables you to see how visitors interact with your site. Heatmaps, Click Maps, Session Recording & More. 'Basic' plan is Free (but with limits).
